Ferran Adrià’s FACES collection is a conversation between food, senses, and design—an extension of elBulli’s groundbreaking approach to gastronomy. Maarten has collected multiple pieces from this iconic series, offering a rare chance to own tools that embody the spirit of culinary innovation and sensory experimentation.
FACES by Ferran Adrià is an iconic series of kitchen and tableware products conceptualized under the creative vision of Ferran Adrià and brought to life by the Design Mix team in collaboration with renowned designers such as Claramunt & de Mas and Luki Huber . Originally developed with professional restaurants in mind, FACES translates the innovative spirit of elBulli into tools made for domestic settings . All pieces are forged in high-grade stainless steel—either 18/10 or 18/0 depending on the blade—and are dishwasher-safe .
Ferran Adrià, celebrated as one of the most inventive chefs in modern gastronomy, directed every facet of this collection to merge culinary function with form. Through these utensils, Adrià extended the multisensory approach of his cuisine to the act of eating itself . What began as experimentation at elBulli blossomed into design-led tools used and studied by chefs worldwide.
