Products should be able to strike up a conversation. Maarten Baptist designed his Lucky Love Chair to put you in a good mood with a seat that softly cradles your bum.
When approached by buhtiq31 to design a chair for their launching collection within the theme Skin, the only good answer would be to further develop the Lucky Love Chair to a product that can be produced in large editions – and that’s what we did. The seat is made in one of the best factories in Germany’s woodwork industry where the production is environmentally neutral. The forest that provides the wood for the Lucky Love Chair is located in North Germany right next to the production factory. First, the trees are steamed and peeled like a pencil. From these thin wooden sheets the ‘fingers’ of the chairs are cut. Five sheets are glued together and dried into an aluminium mould, after which they are painted in the next-door paint factory. The frame is shaped, powder coated and connected to the seat in Enschede, the Netherlands. Even though the chair is incredibly strong, the thin, layered material makes a fragile impression by fully exposing its assembly. The Lucky Love Chair will suit any public space or restaurant. Beside the iconic shape it is incredibly comfortable.

The seats are executed in: transparent lacquer white black mint green. Other colors on request.

Lucky love lounge chair’s
Other, VintageThe name “Lucky Love Chair” stems from its unique design feature. The backrest of the chair consists of three fingers gracefully intertwined, reminiscent of fingers crossed for good luck. When these three fingers come together, they form the shape of a heart, adding an element of charm and symbolism to this exceptional chair.

Tube standing table 110cm
Chairs and Tables, TablesThe Tube table is designed by Maarten Baptist, the tubes are laser-cut from a 100mm diameter round tube. The legs are bent outward and affixed with a little welding. The top can be applied by customer or we deliver some different materials for the top. This top can also be customised in color and diameter.

Chairs and Tables, TablesThe Simple Table is precisely what it appears to be. It’s form is clear, and you will read how it’s put together in no time. Maarten Baptist designed it for his own workroom, but he was so pleased with the result that he decided to produce it for sale as well. Table is made of oak wood, can be changed to any other material.
Round Tube table 120 cm Rosso
Chairs and Tables, TablesThe diameter of this table is 120 cm. The table top is made from form ‘ARPA Fenix’. Height is 76 cm but table will be customised for the customer.
