Maarten wanted to create a cup that honors the final step in the journey of carefully prepared specialty coffee beans / matcha tea — from the farmer, to the roaster, to the preparation—this cup gives your coffee the finishing touch. Please also consider combining different materials, as they look amazing together, such as a pink quartz cup paired with an aventurine green coaster.
A precious coffee or ceremonial matcha deserves a special cup. These hand-carved and polished cups are as unique as your drink or dessert. When not in use, they also serve as striking sculptures in your collection of design objects. Maarten Baptist celebrates his JADE espresso-coffee cup series with these handcrafted creations. The cups are crafted from 100% natural and solid crystals and stones. Small stocks are available in various colors, but larger quantities and custom trays can also be produced to match the concept of your bar or restaurant.
The Calcite – Aventurine and Yooperlite cups are ideal for specialty coffee, while the quartz variants, though more delicate with hot beverages, serve as stunning sculptures. Pre-heating is recommended. Each piece is signed by Maarten Baptist.
When serving hot drinks, it’s advisable to very slowly pre-heat them due to the natural and delicately unpredictable nature of the material when exposed to rapid temperature changes. Quartz crystals, in particular, are quite fragile and may be best suited as decorative objects.

OtherA typical Maarten-touch – a simple gesture with grand effect – the classic curves of the backrest of his Lascivious Sofa are turned upside down. The regular rounded curve has become a hollow one. The fabric is a charming silk velvet, allowing for the hue of the seat and backrest to be mildly different.
Leather wall clock 30 cm 11″
Accessories, OtherThe clocks have a strong physique, even though they are made of the softest leather. The leather is strenghtened by a paper backing, enforced by a liquid glue. Each is made from a single sheet of leather, in which 12 cuts indicate the hours. The hand stitching gives the clock its solid shape. A slope clockwork silently passes the hours by, giving this clock a soft presence on your wall.

Accessories, Coat Rack, OtherThe hole of the hook creates, allows you to screw the rack onto the wall. They are powder coated in a standard black and white or mint green, but can the coatracks can be customized in any other colour to fit any interior. As an insider’s joke, Baptist hides his date of birth in every product. The standard 2-hook coatrack is 19.76 centimetres.
