For years, the matte version of the Outline Cutlery collection has been made with a sanded finish. This technique gives the cutlery a subtle matte look with fine sanding lines. While beautiful, this process also makes the edges a little sharper compared to the glossy polished version.
I have recently tested a new alternative: a stone-polished matte finish. Instead of sanding lines, this method creates a surface with a fine dotted structure. The result is a stronger surface that better masks small signs of daily use. The overall look is softer, with a refined, slightly industrial character. Personally, I really enjoy this new finish.
Before making the transition, I would love to hear your thoughts. Should the Outline Cutlery slowly move towards this new stone-polished finish? I will continue to keep a small stock of the current matte sanded version for replacement orders, but over time my production will shift to the new look if there is support for it.
