After relaunching OUTLINE in 2017 I’ve been building out the series with new items — and now it’s time for a new family member. The mold for the 30 cm serving spoon is in production, together with two smaller molds to turn this same spoon into a salad spoon and a slotted serving spoon. So now I can create two sets: one for serving salad, one for serving — for instance — your pasta. Both match your OUTLINE cutlery exactly.
The idea is simple: you bring a big bowl of pasta to the table and serve everyone with a spoon that belongs right next to the forks and knives — same shape, same functionality, same playfulness. That’s what I had in mind in 2002 when I created this design.
To make this production run happen I need around 750 pre-orders by the end of June 2026 — that’s the minimum to give the factory the go-ahead and guarantee delivery before the holidays ( around November 2026 ). The tubes are laser-cut to hold the shelves and function as side standards. Choosing tubes over solid materials is a well-known building trick to create light – but very strong – constructions. Lascivious Sofa “YOU”
OtherA typical Maarten-touch – a simple gesture with grand effect – the classic curves of the backrest of his Lascivious Sofa are turned upside down. The regular rounded curve has become a hollow one. The fabric is a charming silk velvet, allowing for the hue of the seat and backrest to be mildly different.
TUBE Cabinet modular system

VIJ5 asked if they could add this modular cabinet system to their collection, and I’m thrilled that they want to include it alongside the popular Coatrack by the Meter and my glass candle holder.
